Zappa Plays Zappa in Atlantic City - "The Legend of Frank Zappa"
Dweezil Zappa will be headlining at the House of Blues in Atlantic City on March 8, 2014. The HOB is located in the beautiful Showboat Hotel and Casino.
Dweezil Zappa is the son of the late Frank Zappa was born in Los Angeles in 1969 and has three siblings including Moon who sang the hit song "Vally Girl" in the 1980's. He is described as a rock guitarist and he compares his music to Van Halen's distinquished rocking guitar style.
Zappa was an MTV VJ in the 1980's but was eventually fired after saying unflattering things about MTV on the Howard Stern show. He has had a number of single albums and enjoys playing 2nd guitar in a number of bands. In 2006 Dweezil arranged a "Zappa plays Zappa" tour, in which he assembled many new young performers in the attempt to attract younger audiences to his fathers music style. He has had numerous tours since then.
After dating several young women, such as Lisa Loeb, Katie Wagner and Molly Ringwald, Dweezil married Laura Knudsen in 2005. Unfortunately, last month, Laura filed for divorce. They will share custody of their two children, Zola and Ceylon.
