Mark Knopfler and Dire Straights found major success with songs such as Sultans of Swing and Money for Nothing. Their album Brothers in Arms debuted at #1 on eleven different countries' charts and the follow up On Every Street almost matched its success. Since the Dire Straits disbanded in 1995, Mark Knopfler has found major success with his six solo albums and soundtracks to popular movies such as The Princess Bride.
