The Band HIM (originally called His Infernal Majesty) is a gothic metal band formed in Helsinki, Finland in 1991. Ben Bailey is a comedian and the host of the Discovery Channel show "Cash Cab." He was born in Kentucky on October 30, 1970, but grew up in Chatham, New Jersey. He moved to Los Angeles in 1993, where he took a job as a bouncer at a comedy club. He stumbled into a career as a comedian by accident. Jeff Beck, a true guitar legend and powerful lead guitarist in rock, will be performing in Atlantic City, NJ this summer. Before the fame, Jeff Beck attended Wimbledon Art College in London and backed Lord Sutch. He later joined the Yardbirds in 1966 and was featured on many of the group’s big hits. In 1967, he formed the Jeff Beck Group which included Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood, Nicky Hopkins, and Mickey Waller. The group produced two highly acclaimed albums that reached the top of the Billboard charts.



In October of 1974, Beck began his solo career and recorded the album, “Blow by Blow”. This successful album reached #4 on the charts. In the 1980s and 1990s, Jeff Beck was featured on numerous hit albums. Today, he still records and performs regularly.

Robert Alan Krieger also known as Robby is famously known as one the the members of the rock band "The Doors". He began teaching himself guitar at the an early age and took guitar lessons when he was 18. While attending UCLA he meant Ray Manzarek who would later become the keyboardist for the Doors. Krieger is also known for his songwriting talent and while he was with the Doors wrote many of the top hits like "Love Me Two Times", "Light My Fire" and "Love Her Madly".



After the death of Jim Morrison the other member continued to perform and write songs until they split up in 1973.

In 2002 Krieger teamed up with former Doors band member and vocalist Ian Astbury along with other known musicians and called themselves the" Doors of the 21st Century". After disputes over the name it was changed to Riders on the Storm.

John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band use to light up the air waves on rock stations during the seventies and eighties. The popular band also performed music for several well-known films which included Eddie and the Cruisers, Cobra, Rocky IV. Frankie Avalon, a former teen idol has been a performer for many years. He was born in 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He began performing at the age of 12 appearing on TV playing the trumpet. As a teenager he performed with Bobby Rydell playing his trumpet and singing. By 1959 he had two smash hits Why and Venus that made it to the top of the Billboard charts. Dweezil Zappa will be headlining at the House of Blues in Atlantic City on June 26, 2010. The HOB is located in the beautiful Showboat Hotel and Casino.



Dweezil Zappa is the son of the late Frank Zappa. He was born in Los Angeles in 1969. He has three siblings. He is described as a rock guitarist and he compares his music to Van Halen's distinquished rocking guitar style.



Zappa was an MTV VJ in the 1980's but was eventually fired after saying unflattering things about MTV on the Howard Stern show. He has had a number of single albums and enjoys playing 2nd guitar in a number of bands. In 2006 Dweezil arranged a "Zappa plays Zappa" tour, in which he assembled many new young performers in the attempt to attract younger audiences to his fathers music style. Formed in 1985, Crowded House brought a fresh new approach to rock and roll all of the way from Australia. Originally gaining popularity in their home country and New Zealand, they ventured out in order to spread their sound to the masses over 20 years ago. Founded by Neil Finn, Crowded House has seen many different musicians fill the vital roles of the band, from family member stand-ins, to professional musicians from around the world. The English New Wave band The Fixx will be performing live at the Atlantic City Hilton, in Atlantic City, NJ, on Friday, July 30th, at 8 PM.  The Fixx began their career in 1979, in London England, as The Portraits, and released a pair of singles which never charted. After some line-up changes, as well as changing recording companies, the band eventually came to be called The Fixx, and signed a contract with MCA Records.

The bands first album, Shuttered Room, was released in 1982, and included the hits Red Skies and Stand or Fall. The 1983 release of the album Reach the Beach was their most successful venture, with hits such as Saved By Zero and One Thing Leads to Another, the second of these reaching number 4 on US charts.

Everyone loves the comedic humor of Jackie Martling. He is well known for his “976-JOKE” telephone service that has aired on the Rick Dees morning radio show. He is perhaps best known commercially for his work on the popular Howard Stern show as a guest, cast member, and writer. In addition to his stand-up career, Martling has released five joke CD’s and one musical CD. He has also released three videos, five joke books, a Jokemaster Junior, and an application for the new iPod. He has also appeared in a comedy documentary and over a dozen other independent films in his long and successful career.

Singer Adam Duritz (former member of the Bay Area band The Himalayans) and guitarist David Bryson formed the Counting Crows in San Francisco in 1991. In addition to his experience in The Himalayans, Duritz had contributed to recordings by the Bay Area group Sordid Humor ("Barbarossa"), though he was never a member.

Counting Crows began as an acoustic duo, playing gigs in and around Berkeley and San Francisco. Another friend, guitarist David Immerglück, played with them from time to time, though he was not an official member of the group, experimenting with other musicians in the area. As the emerging band recorded some demos, and later, as other musicians joined the duo to make a full band, Immerglück recorded with the others on some of the songs on their first album. He declined joining the band at the time, because of his membership in two other locally popular bands; Monks of Doom and Camper Van Beethoven. By 1993, the band had grown to a stable lineup of Duritz as vocalist, occasional pianist, and primary songwriter, Bryson on guitar, Matt Malley playing bass guitar, Charlie Gillingham on keyboards, and Steve Bowman, as drummer, and the band was a regular in the Bay Area scene. The same year, the Counting Crows signed to Geffen Records. January 16, 1993, the band, still relatively unknown, filled in for Van Morrison at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, and was introduced by an enthusiastic Robbie Robertson. At the ceremony, they played a cover of Van Morrison's "Caravan".

Former lead singer for Fleetwoof Mac, Stevie Nicks was born in Phoenix, Arizona.  When she was 4 years Stevie would sing country and western duets with her grandfather.  It all began when started songwriting and performing at Menlo-Atherton High School, where she met her future long-time companion and former lover, Lindsey Buckingham.  Lindsey and Stevie signed with Polydor Records, and produced their collaboration, "Buckingham-Nicks". Of copurse, the album flopped, and the two (who were now lovers) were dropped from the label, but not before attracting the attention of Mick Fleetwood, who invited them to join Fleetwood Mac. Two years later, in 1975, Fleetwood Mac's self-titled album topped the charts, headlined by Stevie's "Rhiannon". Success for the band, and for Stevie Nicks, was immediate. The legendary "Rumours" album followed in 1977, at the same time Stevie's relationship with Lindsey came to an end. Stevie's solo career began in 1981 and met with instant success. The stress of maintaining a solo career and remaining with Fleetwood Mac became too much for her, she over indulged and became addicted to cocaine and prescription medication. The Atlantic City World Amateur Open Golf Championship will follow a format similar to the World Amateur Handicap Championship in Myrtle Beach, S.C each Sepetember. That same tournament last year, drew more than 3,000 golfers from 48 states and 18 countries worldwide.

Competitors in the Atlantic City World Amateur Open will be divided into six age groups ranging from 49 and under to 70 and older. The women's division of the tourney will feature 49 and-under and 50 and-older divisions. Players will be assigned to flights within their age group based on their established USGA Slope Handicap.

"We wanted to do something similar to the Myrtle Beach tournament in this area," Atlantic City tournament planning committee member Rodger Gottlieb said Tuesday in a phone interview. "We thought of it as a way to economically benefit the golf courses, casinos and restaurants in the region."

Each player registered in the ACWAO is guaranteed three rounds at various courses. Each flight winner will advance to a championship playoff on June 9, 2011 at Seaview resort. Blue Heron Pines, the Links at Brigantine Beach, Harbor Pines, Mays Landing, Sand Barrens, Shore Gate and Twisted Dune - will also be used for the first three rounds.

The $450 entry fee also will include a kick-off party at Borgata Casino Hotel and Spa on June 5, 2011 plus additional cocktail receptions at The Pool at Harrah's on June 6 and Resorts Casino Hotel on June 7. The awards ceremony following the championship round on June 9 will be held at Seaview.

Tosh was born in Boppard, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germanybut grew up in Titusville, Florida, the son of a preacher with one brother and two sisters. After graduating from Astronaut High School in 1993 and later the University of Central Florida with a degree in marketing, Tosh moved to Los Angeles. Robert Lane "Bob" Saget is a stand-up comedian, actor, and television host. Although he is best known for his past roles in the family-oriented shows Full House and America's Funniest Home Videos, Saget is known outside of television for his starkly blue stand-up routine.Saget was born in Philadelphia. His father, Benjamin, was a supermarket executive, and his mother, Rosalyn, was a hospital administrator. Bob Saget lived in Norfolk, Virginia, and Encino, California, before moving back to Philadelphia and graduating from Abington Senior High School. Bob Saget originally intended to become a doctor, but his Honors English teacher, Elaine Zimmerman, saw his creative potential and urged him to seek a career in films.  He enrolled at Temple University's film school, where he created Through Adam's Eyes, a black-and-white film about a boy who received reconstructive facial surgery. In 1978, the film was honored with an award of merit in the Student Academy Awards.Saget enrolled in graduate school at the University of Southern California but quit a few days later. Saget describes himself at the time in an article by Glenn Esterly in the 1990 Saturday Evening Post: "I was a cocky, overweight twenty-two-year-old. The Goo Goo Dolls is a rock band that first formed in the late 80's in New York. Since then the band has sold over 9 million albums in the United States.
